The White Admiral Butterfly, Limenitis arthemis, is a butterfly that is found in many parts of North America. It is actually the northern presentation of the species, the southern one being the Red-Spotted Purple, another favorite that I make, also. In areas where they overlap, various hybrids are common. Both butterflies are a joy to encounter. The butterfly is fabricated out of Sterling silver and lacquered jeweler's brass, and then carefully handpainted and sealed. It measures 1" wide by 3/4" tall and is strung on a 16" Sterling chain. It would also work on an 18" chain. If you would prefer the longer one, please let me know in the notes. It is a lovely piece and a tribute to a favorite butterfly.
