Iron Furnace Slag Bracelet
This one-of-a-kind Sterling bracelet features Stone Stack Iron Furnace Slag, quite a mouthful for a rich river treasure. I found it in the Gale River near where I live, but it could have come out of countless other historical iron furnace sites across North America and Europe. I set it in Sterling, and the ends are finished with little silver whirlpools. This piece has a bit of my version of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing with gold. In this case, I have used gold mica powder (which isn't real gold) mixed in with a medium to smooth and embellish the surface. The bracelet measures 6" and will fit most wrists.
