This one-of-a-kind Sterling bracelet features Stone Stack Iron Furnace Slag, quite a mouthful for a rich river treasure. I found it in the Gale River near where I live, but it could have come out of countless other historical iron furnace sites across North America and Europe. This piece has a bit of my version of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing with gold. In this case, I have used gold mica powder (which isn't real gold) mixed in with a medium to smooth and embellish the surface. The bracelet measures 6" and will fit most wrists.

Ye ol' Franconia Stone Stack Iron Furnace, of which there used to be hundreds across the US, of which only seven still stand.

This piece of slag is larger than what I usually find, especially if I go down-river where the pieces have been tumbled smooth.
