This one-of-a-kind necklace features Stone Stack Iron Furnace Slag, quite a mouthful for a rich river treasure. It was found in the Gale River near me in Franconia, NH, but could have come out of countless other historical iron furnace sites across North America and Europe. I polished it to preserve the gleam that it had in the river. The slag, set in silver, rests beneath a cluster of sprouting silver mushrooms. Slag and mushrooms, does it get any better? The pendant measures 5/8" wide by 1 1/2" long and hangs from a 20" oxidized Sterling chain.
