Product Description
This Sterling Necklace features a lovely piece of Stone Stack Slag, aka Iron Age Turquoise. I found the slag in the Gale River near where I live, but it could have come from any one of the countless stone stack iron furnace sites across North America and Europe that were the state of the art technology 200 years ago. I love the organic shapes that I find, but do some basic lapidary work to polish them and make them settable. This piece is set below a swirl of silver that echoes the water where I found it. It is suspended from an 18" Sterling chain.
